For 20 years, Children Rising has partnered with Oakland community schools, primarily Title 1 schools, to empower children and families to rise above the many challenges caused by pervasive educational inequity.
Our vision is that every child is reached by a caring community at a critical time in their life to nurture hope, the courage to dream, and the opportunity to thrive. Our programs, fueled by our innovative community enablement process, are uniquely targeted to support our local educators and the families of children attending schools in our lowest-income neighborhoods.
